Kettlebell Exercises - One Handed Swing

The One Handed Swing is the progression on from the foundation Two Handed Kettlebell Swing exercise.

Twice as tough, with more than twice the results, this exercise will teach you to resist force and develop anti rotational strength.

Key points from the two handed swing are equally valid and for the one handed swing also...

focus on keeping the kettlebell swinging down the centreline
focus on keeping shoulders level - don't allow the swinging side to be pulled round

Kettlebell Exercises - Snatch

The Snatch is a truly wonderful, but highly advanced, exercise. I don't usually teach this to my general public clients as you get 80% of the benefits of the snatch from swinging.

However, athletes, military personnel and other tough people need that extra edge and they learn to snatch.

Won't go into too much detail - this really is an exercise that *has* to be learnt in person. Enjoy :)

Kettlebell Exercises - Two Handed Swing

The Kettlebell Swing is the basic foundation of all the ballistic drills for kettlebell training.

It's an explosive exercise using almost every muscle and joint in the body, from the ankles, knees, hips, back and shoulders.

It's also a great fat burner; compound exercises will almost always trump isolation stuff and it will increase general athleticism, speed and power.

So get going :)

Kettlebell Exercises - Clean & Press

The Kettlebell Clean is a great exercise in its own right but is mainly used to get a kettlebell from the ground to the racked position for further fun and games.

The key points are to control the arc of the kettlebell - the move should like smooth and fluid. The usual error is to try too hard, use too much power, which leads the kettlebell to be flung about wildly.

TRX Exercises - Atomic Pushup

The Atomic Pushup is a combination of a suspended pushup and a sort of leg curl / crunch thing.

Absolutely fantastic all body training, combining upper body and core training.

Keep a flat back at all times and keep the body moving as one unit
